STILLNESS MEDITATION THERAPY TESTIMONIALS

Stillness meditation made me realise just how much stress was playing a very unhealthy role in my life. Prior to discovering this wonderful technique, I was beginning to fall into a hole that I could not get myself out of. The stress of a very busy professional career, insomnia (not being able to turn my mind off in bed), travelling for hours each day in peak hour traffic, and wanting to have a baby, was making me very anxious, unhappy and exhausted. I had gone from being a very happy, bubbly person to a quiet, unhappy, brooding person that was a stranger to me. I had always been so capable and able to cope, and it was very difficult for me to acknowledge that I needed ‘something’ to help me pick up again.
Thankfully, my Mum heard Pauline speaking about Stillness Meditation on the radio. I purchased Pauline’s book, In Stillness Conquer Fear. I read it from cover to cover in one day, rang the Stillness Meditation Centre the day after, and was booked in to see Pauline within a few days.
I was so relieved to have had very rapid success with Stillness Meditation. My sleeping began to improve after 2 to 3 weeks of practicing the technique religiously. With perseverance and daily practice I felt my coping mechanisms begin to return. I was not responding to stress as I had done previously. I was calmer in both my daily work life and when driving in terrible traffic. Most importantly I fell pregnant and now have a beautiful three month old daughter. She is such a calm, placid, happy baby, that has slept through the night since she was five weeks old. I believe that as I am now a calmer person, that this flowed through into my pregnancy, and has definitely made m
y baby a calm, happy person.
We often don’t come across such a brilliant mechanism as Stillness Meditation until we are in a dire position that forces our hand. We then want it to work quickly because we want instant results. Luckily for me I did have tangible results quite rapidly. ‘Being still’, such a simple easy to practice technique, has turned my life around. I have the greatest gift I could ever have asked for – I am now a Mummy.

“Stillness Meditation Therapy is a soundly based technique that is particularly useful in the treatment of chronic anxiety states and in teaching patients to manage anxiety and cope better with stress. “Chronic anxiety is a major health burden and the availability of non-drug therapies to improve wellbeing is of significant assistance to the medical profession.”

“The skills are simple and easily learnt and this is a big attraction for those I refer as they are generally very busy and stressed individuals. Stress is a major cause of illness today and Pauline McKinnon is playing an important role in teaching people practical skills to cope with this modern epidemic.”

VCE Student's Letter of Appreciation!
I am so happy to inform you even after my difficulties with anxiety last year, I achieved excellent results that I am proud of. My enter score was 91.6 and I have been accepted into Melbourne University.
Without your encouragement and guidance Pauline, I do not think such great achievements would have been possible for me. I thank you dearly for teaching me Stillness Meditation and for your constant and positive reassurance.

I would like to thank you for providing me with an opportunity to learn and practice Stillness Meditation Therapy.
As you are aware, I previously experienced a great deal of stress leading to a raft of symptoms. Since practicing SMT I have learnt to be calmer during my daily activities and have experienced a large reduction of those symptoms. Additionally, I found that I have been able to deal with the daily stresses much better and think through problems more easily as a direct result of being in a calmer state when problems arise. I found your general approach to be highly professional and the SMT process to provide great comfort.
I would highly recommend your services.
Kind regards,
David Firestone,
Melbourne
